Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED is the new OLED by Asus company, it has a proper refresh rate just like any gamer wants. Additionally, the screen resolution is outstanding with the new OLED display, also the ample connectivity is more stable than ever.
In general, when you have a device with dedicated graphics of Nvidia and a CPU of Intel Core i9, this is the sort of hardware every PC desktop user wants. That’s the reason for the demand for the Zenbook Pro, as the name suggests, this Asus device can be directly compared with any MacBook Pro. As it has all the features, that a MacBook Pro user wishes for. But this device is running on Windows and I think that is one of the differences which we are going to see in the comparison.

Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED – Build Quality & Design:
Although, with this Asus Pro 14 OLED, we are going to witness a new addition to the Zenbook devices line-up. As the previous Zenbook Pro 14 has a second display of a touch-sensitive pad. But, with this Asus Pro 14 OLED, you will not see any screen changes, but the touchpad still has something interesting to offer.
This 14 Pro OLED is coming with a gunmetal grey color finish, and the ASUS branding logo on the lid. It feels extremely premium in my hands, yet it is a powerful machine. When we talk about the thickness of this Zenbook, is only 17.9mm thick. It can easily fit and adjust in your backpack. As it is a gaming Zenbook, you must be wondering if the weight is going to be just like other gaming laptops. But, this ASUS Zenbook weighs only 1.65kg, which is not the lightest machine but still better than many gaming laptops in the market.
There are 2 USB Type-C ports and only 1 USB Type-A port in this zen book. It can easily transfer Thunderbolt 4 data and the video output is also handled by one of the ports. If you are looking to buy this OLED for a 4K display, then it can be possible to connect this with an HDMI 2.1 output. Not only this, but it also has a microSD card slot which is best for professional photographers and saves their time and energy to look for adapters and dongles. Unlike iPhone, it has a 3.5mm headphone port, which can connect any hands-free, microphones, and headphones.
Performance and Battery Life Details:
Asus Zenbook 14 Pro OLED is offering a screen size of “14.5in, 2880 x 1800 OLED display” with an impressive refresh rate of 120Hz. The resolution is based on the high dynamic range (HDR) that can produce the perfect balance in the light and dark tones in the photos. A powerful processor by Intel, this Zenbook has an Intel Core 19-13900H CPU, better than the previous Zenbook line-up. Overall, it has 32GB of RAM, which provides a massive amount of speed. And a 2TB PCIe SSD storage space, enough to save your data and quickly efficient in processing the software, and games loading speed.
However, when we talk about gaming, we can not ignore the GPU. The Graphics Processing Unit is the foundation of a satisfying gaming experience. Surprisingly, this time Asus decided to use Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 as a dedicated GPU in this Pro 14 OLED. This gives it a massive amount of power to run any game on higher settings, and with the OLED display, you can imagine the fun.
Not only that, this GeForce RTX 4070 is a Studio-certified version, which means it enhances the load time and works best for video editing software. Although, it will work just as well as a standard RTX 4070 Zenbook version for gaming.
As we see, the desktop cooling system is way better than the laptops, and Zenbooks. Therefore, my advice is for you to not expect desktop-type performance from this Zenbook. Especially, for gaming, as most of the games required more GPU power rather than CPU. And there isn’t enough space to fit big bulky cooling fans as we can install on the desktop PC.
GeForce RTX 4070 GPU Performance:
Thus, the GPU performance isn’t that impressive in a laptop or Zenbook, yet quite enjoyable. If you want to compare the performance of a laptop RTX 4070, then you can directly compare it with a desktop 3060 Ti GPU. Somehow, it provides the same performance as the 3060 Ti desktop version.
We are doing a lot of performance tests, and recently we tested a popular game “Resident Evil 3 Remake” on max settings. And I am confident enough to say, it runs quite smoothly and gives a breath-taking experience to play it on a laptop. The goosebumps and the jumpscares are far better than the desktop gaming. As you are pretty close to the screen, and with the OLED display, the graphics look fantastically real.
Keyboard Typing and Touchpad:
The Keyboard area of this Zenbook 14 Pro OLED is quite similar to the previous Zenbook line-up. The buttons are springy, when you type fast on this keyboard, the buttons give a good feel to your fingers. A fairly good choice, for the people who are in typing stuff. Otherwise, the keyboard layout looks a lot like UK-type keyboards.
Although, you will not have any fingerprint scanner on this laptop. But, for the lock security, it comes with the Hello Facial Recognition technology with HD webcam support.
To give it a test, we unlock this device several times a day, and it was quick in tracking the facial recognition. The HD webcam works nicely in the nighttime as well, video calling and recording are also possible at night time.
Asus Products with OLED:
The Asus Zenbook Pro 14 OLED provides the same amount of performance in 3D tasks, in comparison to a desktop. Don’t forget about the display, it’s OLED, the best in town, and the decision to pair it with powerful hardware. Makes it an unbeatable machine. the keyboard looks stunningly beautiful and provides a comfortable typing experience. If you are a tech guy, I would suggest you give at least 1 try to this beast. As there are several connectivity options, HDMI, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, and a lot more. The battery life is also quite impressive.
