Logitech G Cloud Premium Features & Design

Logitech G Cloud Premium Features & Design

As we all know, Logitech has been producing a lot of gaming devices which is proven to be the best in quality. Not only in quality, but it is also having high-end gaming hardware. The Logitech G Cloud is the best version of consoles so far, as it feels extremely premium and yet a powerful device to play popular games on max settings. It has ABXY buttons, just like any standard XBOX controller, and it has analog triggers, and a D-Pad to control the player.

The weight of this Logitech G Cloud handheld device is around 346 grams. As this is having same internals as an Android smartphone, therefore it is a bit heavier than a Switch OLED device. Even after having Android-based internals, this device feels perfectly fine in hands for online gaming, that usually based on longer sessions. So, if you are planning to buy this device for online gaming, like Modern Warfare, PUBG, and many more. Then feel free to go for it, and let me tell you, you will not regret your decision.

In comparison to Steam Deck, this device is comparatively light and feels very comfortable in the hands. Because of the amazingly comfortable textured grips on the back of the Logitech G Cloud device.

Screen Resolution & Sound Quality

The screen size of G Cloud is similar to the Steam Deck and Switch OLED devices. This device is using IPS as the display panel, but the screen resolution is quite impressive. It has a screen beautiful resolution of 1080p display, the gaming looks sharp and crispy with this display. To test it out, we play Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most popular games of all time. Although we play this game using the GeForce Now cloud gaming service, the benefit we get with this is the ray-tracing option.

Logitech G Cloud handheld screen resolution comes with a refresh rate of 60Hz per second. This is reasonable, as most of the cloud services only allow framerates up to 60FPS. What’s more, it gives you straight 60FPS for gaming, the FPS does not drop while playing the game. As, most of the devices with 60Hz refresh rates, do not always allow the device to provide the 60FPS framerates. The framerate-dropping problem does not exist with this device.

We are testing this device with both the functions, the Cloud Gaming Service and local remote play. Surprisingly, we did not notice any drop in the framerates.

Battery Timing & Device Performance

Battery Timing & Device Performance

There are different factors to check the strength of cloud gaming using a console. It is not always the console, you must have a fast and stable internet connection, and a premium cloud gaming service like GeForce Now. In general, the Logitech G Cloud console does not support Wi-Fi 6. We decided to give it a test using a standard internet connection with a speed of 250MB. Firstly, we test and play a game sitting next to the router, and then we sit in the next room, which is fairly far from the router. Surprisingly, we get unnoticeable results in cloud gaming.

The GeForce Now cloud gaming service provides you with a completely flawless experience of gaming in full HD. As it uses the power of the GeForce RTX 3080 rig, and gives you access to the large library of PC games you own. Whereas the Xbox Game Pass claims to have a 1080p HD resolution display for mobile gaming, in reality, it is not even close to the 1080p display. Yet, the game library is attractive and looks quite appealing to the eyes, but the game experience isn’t impressive.

Even after doing a lot of hectic and heavy work with cloud gaming, the battery life of this G Cloud device is impressive. Charge it once and use it for more than 12 hours, isn’t it awesome? What’s more, if you only use the device for 1 to 2 hours a day, the single charge can last up to 10 days. But, can you do that with a Steam Deck device? Well, I guess not.

Although, when you play games continuously, the battery drains a bit faster. The games which provide more refresh rates are the ones that squeeze the battery timing. On the other hand, you can easily play games like, Vampire Survivors and 3D games like, Honkai Star Rail. They both run quite impressively without much affecting the battery life.

Without any doubt, we can that the Logitech G Cloud handheld is a beast for cloud gaming. Comparison between the prices of Steam Deck and G Cloud, you may find it a bit pricey. But, it has a beautiful bright 1080p display and a long battery life which lasts up to 12 hours. Don’t forget the comfortable grips you get at the back of this handheld. These grips are important if you are looking to have longer gaming sessions to run Android games.
