2 variants of Samsung Galaxy A34 5G launched in India. The first variant of this device is having 128GB of Storage Space, and the other one has a Storage of 256GB. The price of the Samsung A34 5G with 128GB Storage is Rs.30,999 only. Whereas, the price of Galaxy A34 5G with 256GB storage space is Rs.32,999. Although, both of these variants offer only 8GB of RAM.
Design and 120Hz Display Review
The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G device is coming in multiple unique-looking colors. The current variant which we are reviewing is in Lime Color, it has different mixed patterns of Yellow and Green. On the other hand, its body frame and rear panel are made of strong plastic, thus making it under 200 grams of weight. It gives a nice in-hand feel, because of the curved edges, although the rear panel is flat.
This device is the most affordable smartphone with a 120Hz AMOLED Display in the current Samsung Galaxy line-up. As it has IP67 official rating, which means the device can survive up to 30 minutes underwater. What’s more, this ability to stand out against the water, makes it a water-resistance device and you can easily use it on a heavy rainy day.
The rear panel of this phone has 3 cameras cut out in a circular shape. This makes it quite similar to Samsung’s Flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S23 5G. In general, the front camera notch of this device is in a water-drop shape. To be honest, this water-drop shape notch is out of fashion, let’s speak the truth. However, the bezels around the front panel are quite narrow.
On the other hand, this smartphone has 6.6 inches front screen panel, with a vivid color of full-HD+ AMOLED display. However, the Samsung Galax A34 device does not offer HDR10+ certification. But, it has Widevine L1 DRM technology, that will make things easy for you in streaming videos in full HD.
Samsung Galaxy A34 5G Specifications & Software Details
This device is featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. Just like we have seen the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G and Realme 10 Pro 5G devices with the same processor in the past. With this processor, this device is having 8GB RAM and 128GB to 256GB of Storage memory.
Other than that, Samsung claims to increase the RAM size up to 8GB with the use of virtual RAM. With a battery size of 5,000mAh, it’s nearly impossible to imagine a standard charging adopter. But, as it supports fast charging, it’s not a big issue to charge this much bigger-sized battery. Although, Samsung is not giving the charger in the box of the Galaxy A34 5G phone.
When we look at the software, it’s running on the latest version of Android 13 and that is based on the UI 5.1 version. As always, the One UI technology offers great features and very smooth application operations. Features like creating your design, and icons, which match with the wallpaper and theme of this device. Users can also adjust the style, and the font size according to their taste.
Battery Timing & Performance
With the MediaTek SoC-powered processor, this device has the ability to carry out routine tasks smoothly. As it has a screen refresh rate of 120Hz, how can we not test it with gaming? Well, to review the battery timing and device performance, we play Call of Duty (COD) on this beast.
To be honest, we didn’t notice a sudden drop in the battery or any heat in the device, even after playing it for 40 minutes. This device provides max FPS in the Call of Duty online game, at low graphics settings. FPS plays a key role for better gaming, to achieve the best FRP, you may need to lower the graphics of this game.
However, we do notice some FRP drop during the gameplay, at hot-drop spots of the game. Thus, we can not say, this device is the best for online gaming, but it’s still better than other devices under this price range.
In terms of battery timing, we tested this device by playing multiple online games with 1 single charge. Android games like Pubg Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, Fortnite, Garena Free Fire, Apex Legends, and many more. Above all, we did not charge the device and watch YouTube videos, with the full audio volume on speakers. After all these tests, we didn’t experience any sudden drop in the battery and it offers good battery timing at this price.
Primary Camera & Photography
As this device has a setup of triple-camera on the back. The main camera of this device is featuring a 48-megapixel camera with (OIS) technology. This 48-megapixel primary camera has support for optical image stabilization, which leads photography to the next level.
The secondary camera is featuring at 8-megapixels with an ultra-wide view. In the end, the third gamera is 5-megapixel and this camera can be used to capture images with the macro camera sensor. Although, the front camera of this is featuring with 13-megapixel.
To do professional photography, you can use the primary camera of Samsung Galaxy A34 5G. As it can capture images with good in-depth details and more accuracy in the colors. Nevertheless, saturated colors are more vibrant in the images, so if you like to use a filter with vibrant colors, then you don’t have to use it with a Samsung A34 5G smartphone. However, when we capture the images at night, we notice a drop in the quality of details in the images.
